Byron F. Daniels, III of Brockton passed away peacefully November 11, 2015 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved son of the late Byron F. Daniels, Jr and Mary (Donlan) Daniels. He was the loving brother to Michael and Jamie of Golden, CO, Catherine Daniels of Abington, Geraldine Connolly of Brockton, Timothy Daniels of Milbridge, ME, John and Christine Daniels of Taunton, Charles and Susan Daniels of Bourne, Kerry and Claire Daniels of Quincy, and the late Stephen Daniels and the late uncle to Kerryanne Murphy. Also survived by 17 nieces and nephews Christine Sharp of Abington, Melissa Sharp of South Boston, Stephanie Daniels and Fiancé Parker from Hayward, CA, Emily and Jake Thompson of Edgewater, CO, Joshua Daniels of Blackhawk, CO, Jack and Shayna Daniels of Stonebridge, MA, Charlie Jr. Matthew and Ryan Daniels of Manomett, Kyle, Cody, and Keenan Daniels of Quincy, Timothy, Robert, Gerald, Shaun, and Michael Daniels of Halifax, and six grandnieces and nephews, and many Aunts and Uncles.
Byron grew up in Kingston, graduate of Silver Lake High School and studied at Marquette University. His life long career was in the book binding industry for 40 years. Byron enjoyed boating and fishing with his Dad and brothers around Clark Island. He enjoyed the Red Sox, which consisted of many trips to Ft. Myers, FL for spring training and enjoying vacationing in FL at Ft. Myers yearly. He enjoyed the warm water and hot sun in Florida. He would often reminisce of times and trips to Florida with his work friends of their horsing around and concert (Woodstock) 1969 they attended.
Byron resided in Brockton for the later part of his life and enjoyed golfing, fishing, going to Raynham dog track and playing the lottery, His love of food was very basic, ham and cheese sandwiches or his cheeseburgers. Most of all he just like to cut the grass in the yard and chill out having a Miller lite tall in his lawn chair enjoying the sun. His sister Gerri says he was her rock and the rock to all his brothers and sisters. He will be so greatly missed by all.
Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Wednesday Nov. 18 th 4-7:30 pm followed by a memorial service at 7:30 pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Byron’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or Old Colony Hospice of Randolph.
