Bessie Forest

Bessie (DeFazio) Forest, 87 formerly of Brockton residing in Middleborough, passed away surrounded by her loving children on August 1, 2018 in Middleborough.

Bessie was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Michael DeFazio and Antonietta DelVento, both of Italy, on April 19, 1931. She went to school in Orient Heights, East Boston. She was the widow of Richard Forest of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She was employed by the London Clothing Company of Brockton for many years. Bessie was a devoted wife and mother; she cherished her family. She was also a devoted Catholic during her life.

Bessie is preceded in death by both her parents, her brothers Anthony DeFazio, Joseph DeFazio and sister Mary Caledonia. Bessie is survived by children Gino Iolli and his wife Donna of Taunton, Lisa Iolli of Quincy, Michael Iolli and his wife Ellen of Lakeville, Tina Iolli-Crognale of Andover and John Forest of Brockton. Michael DeFazio, brother and his wife Marianne of Middleborough and sister Anna Morgan and husband Kenneth of Cataumet. Grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Akerman of Lakeville, Jane Marie Iolli of Lakeville, Claudia and Isabella Crognale of Andover and Lauren Iolli of Taunton, and goddaughter Annette Arnone and her husband William of Cataumet. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.

Burial will follow at East Grove Cemetery in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
