Arnold A. “Butch” Studley of Whitman passed away November 10, 2009 in his home in Whitman surrounded by family and friends, this was one of Butch’s last wishes and it was fulfilled. He was 56 years old, born and raised in the South Shore. Butch served in the Army for 10 years. He was also a loving coach for several years with the Blackhawks a pop warner football team that went undefeated. Butch also enjoyed and loved his many years leading a fishing tournament at D.W. Fields in Brockton, where he taught many children how to fish. Butch had many hobbies, but fishing and making fishing rods, which many still have until this day, was his favorite. With all his hobbies his greatest love of all was for his children and grandchildren, many tears will fall. Butch had a wonderful smile, which was enhanced when speaking of his grandchildren. He was Uncle Boo to many nieces and nephews, and others that loved him deeply. Many loved him, so many hearts will grieve, so many more words that need to be spoken, so many hearts now to be broken.
