Anne Marie “Anne” (Harrington) Finocchi, age 70, a long-time resident of Hanson, Massachusetts, passed away Monday November 13, 2017 at South Shore Hospital surrounded by family.
Anne Marie was born on May 18, 1947 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1964. After graduating High School, Anne Marie went on to spend some time traveling abroad and doing the things she always wanted before starting a family.
Later on, Anne Marie met her loving husband of 44 years, Stephen Finocchi on Cape Cod. They married and settled in Hanson, Massachusetts. Together they had three children. Anne Marie was a dedicated bookkeeper for the Iron Workers’ Union.
Anne Marie possessed an invincible spirit that encouraged everyone she knew to pursue when faced with life’s adversities. She was known for giving thoughtful advice and always extending a listening ear to support those in her life. Anne Marie will leave behind her legacy of strength, kindness, and generosity to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Anne Marie’s mark will be forever in the hearts of her beloved family and friends. She will be missed but never forgotten. She was a woman of strength, devotion and wisdom.
Anne Marie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Stephen Finocchi, her three children: Jennifer (Finocchi)Matiyosus and her late husband, John Matiyosus of Hanson, MA; Lisa (Finocchi) and Kourosh Morakabian of Van Alstyne, TX, and Erin Finocchi and Leland Powell of Bourne, MA. Anne Marie also leaves behind her sister, Judith Harrington of Milton, MA, and brother Jerry Harrington of Ware, MA. Anne Marie was also blessed to have ten grandchildren, all of whom she has left a lasting impact on their lives. Anne Marie is now peacefully reunited with her mother Jessica Harrington, and sister Diane Morabito.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s the Worker Church in Hanson, Massachusetts.
