Anne M. ( Kirwan) Kelly, 85, of Whitman, died peacefully in her sleep on September 18, 2018 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Born September 8, 1933 in Boston. She is predeceased by her husband of over 61 years, Peter F. Kelly.
Anne was a homemaker during her children’s early school years and then began working in bookkeeping, where she was instrumental in helping a small company grow at Perkins Paper in Taunton, Ma. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an extremely generous women, willing to give her time and money for the enjoyment and benefit of others. Anne was also a passionate sports fan following Boston teams and the exploits of her children and grandchildren’s teams.
Survivors include her daughter, Pat Kelly Zygadlo of Hanover and two sons, Michael of E. Sandwich and Bob of Hanson, seven grandchildren Nicole, Beth, Robert, Sarah, Allison, Peter and Anna and 7 great grandchildren Bennett, Cameron, Nikolas, Maeve, Olivia, Colin and Robert.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Thursday Sept. 20 th 4-8 pm.
Funeral mass Friday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 9 am.
Burial to follow at St. James Cemetery, Whitman.
