Alfred Monsini, age 65, of Taunton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. He was raised in Brockton and graduated from West Bridgewater High in 1975. He was the son of the late Joseph F. Monsini Jr. and the late Josephine (Arredondo) Monsini.
Al had a standout personality. He was very involved with family business, as he started working at an early age. He helped with the family pizza restaurant as well as the hot dog trucks and concession stands at the Brockton fair. Later in his life he was involved in demolition.
Al’s love for cooking went beyond the business aspect, as he loved to cook for his family and friends. His famous homemade fried chicken, pizza, fried dough, and potato chips were some of his family and friends favorites. In his spare time he wrote lots of poetry and liked being around his friends and family. In addition to Al’s standout personality, he had a unique way with words, which led him to his entrepreneurial skills and being self employed. Al only wanted to answer to himself and was able to stay his own boss his entire life. He started his own metal recycling business many years ago which he ran for most of his life and it's still up and running today.
Al had a daughter, Jade, with the late Jean (DiCicco) DeChambeau, who was raised in Whitman and a son, Joey, with Linda (Moscaritolo) Monsini who was raised in Taunton. Al was a supportive and hard working father, and an even more supportive grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Rayne. Nothing lit up Al’s face more than seeing Rayne surprised at a thoughtful gift or experience that he set up for her.
Al is survived by his children Jade Monsini of Braintree and Joseph Monsini of Taunton, His granddaughter Rayne Beaudoin, along with his siblings which include Linda Cumberledge, Mary Foscaldi, Grace Rickell, and Christine Moreau. Al was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Monsini III.
