Robert J. "Bob" Ahl of Whitman passed away suddenly on Friday December 9, 2016 at the age of 66. The beloved husband of 42 years to Barbara J. (Bell) Ahl. Loving father of Michelle A. Cheverie and her husband Paul of Whitman and Matthew R. Ahl and his wife Brooke of Pembroke. Son of the late Edward and Eleanor (McCarthy) Ahl. Cherished grandfather "Papa" of Tyler and Owen Cheverie and Lillian and Duke Ahl. Bother of Edward Ahl and his wife Penny of Weymouth, Arlene Lalli and her husband Vincent of Brockton, Kenneth Ahl and his wife Maureen of Marshfield, and Joseph Ahl and his wife Kristen of Dedham. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob loved golfing, spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Vietnam War.
Visiting hours will be in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St. Whitman Thursday 3-7:30 PM with a memorial service at 7:30 PM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
