Mary Atkins

Mary( Louise) Atkins died April 12, 2016 at Royal Cotuit of Mashpee after a long illness. She was 79.

Louise was a long time resident of Plainville. She and her husband Jack raised their family on Lake Mirimichii. Louise was a member of the Women’s Club at St. Martha’s for many years.

Louise earned her bachelor degree from Bridgewater State University and her Master’s degree from Curry College.

Louise retired from Curry College where she was the Director of the Children’s Center for more than 15 years. She also worked at the Kennedy – Donovan School in Foxboro for many years.

Louise was predeceased by her husband Jack, son Peter, granddaughter Jessica and her sister Suzanne.

She leaves her daughter Terry Ronhock and husband Mike of Mashpee, her son John Atkins and wife Lulu of Norton and her son Kenneth and wife Maureen of N.Attleboro.She leaves grandchildren Sarah Atkins, Tim Atkins ,Nancy  Atkins,  Jack Atkins and Kevin Ronhock.

In addition Louise leaves her sisters Sally Powell  ,Margaret Connors ,Kathleen Balboni and her brother Sonny Kilmain .As well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s in Norton on Monday April 18 at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer Assoc. P.O.Box 96011 Washington D.C.20090-6011
