Linda (Noble) Forde, 74, of Whitman, died peacefully in hospice on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. She was the former wife of Bradford W. Linscott and the widow of Gerald Forde. She was mother to three children; Stephen W. Linscott of Hull, Kenneth A. Linscott of Attleboro and Susan A. (Linscott) Forrest of South Attleboro as well as the sister of Dr. Susan Noble Walker of Plymouth. She leaves five grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well. Born in Boston on March 11, 1942, she was the loving daughter of the late Clinton and Helen (Corcoran) Noble of Wollaston and Dennisport, and later, the cherished stepdaughter and friend of the late Annie E. Noble of Dennisport.
Linda was a graduate of North Quincy High School, class of 1959, and of Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, class of 1961. She worked for Braintree Electric Light Department for 23 years until her retirement in 2005. In addition to family, she leaves her best friend of 55 years, Gwen Chiappini as well as friends and dear neighbors.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman.
Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, Whitman.
A private burial service will be held in the spring at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
