Esther Roache

Esther “Honey” C. Roache of Whitman passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton. She was 100 years old. She was born in Hanson; daughter of the late Andrew and Myra Sturtevent. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph A. Roache and the beloved mother of Donald J. Roache and his wife Ruth of Nashua, NH, Wayne A. Roache and his wife Pat of Weymouth and Marco Island, FL, and Larry E. Roache and his wife Kathleen of Whitman. She was predeceased by 6 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Honey was a daily communicate of Holy Ghost Parrish in Whitman for many years and was a member of the Lady’s Sodality at Holy Ghost Church. She enjoyed knitting.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, October 12, from 8:00 am to 9:45 am in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St., Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman.
Interment in St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
